Praying for Malawi

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”— Isaiah 41:10 NIV

“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”— Proverbs 14:34 ESV

1. Thank God for always being there for us as a nation. Thank Him for His hand that constantly strengthens and guides us. Pray that we will continue to put our trust in God and God alone.

2. Pray that Malawi will be a place of peace and not of fear or dismay. Pray against any spirit of hopelessness or “giving up” in this country.

3. Pray that the leaders of Malawi will lead in the fear of God and that righteousness will exalt this nation.

4. Pray for every newly elected leader to take their role seriously and serve Malawi with integrity and humility.

Praying for People Groups of Cote d’Ivoire

“...And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”— John 12:32 ESV

“...saying, ‘What shall we do with these men? For that a notable sign has been performed through them is evident to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it.’”— Acts 4:16 ESV

“And [pray] that we will be rescued from perverse and evil men; for not everyone has the faith.”— 2 Thessalonians 3:2 AMP

1. Pray that the people in these groups will see the light of Jesus Christ and be drawn to Him.

2. Pray for a genuine revival among these people groups. Pray that God will raise up a generation of believers passionate about the gospel and that the fire of God will spread rapidly among them in these last days.

3. Pray especially for notable miracles to take place. Pray that these manifestations of God’s power will erase doubt and bring many to the faith.

4. Pray against resistance to the gospel, especially among the Islam group. Pray that the Lord will manifest Himself miraculously to the Muslims of Cote d’Ivoire and that they will turn to Him—for only He can save them!
