Thanksgiving and Sermon-Based Prayer
Thanksgiving
“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV)
1. Thank God for the great moment in His Presence on Sunday. His Message, Worship and Praise moments were reconciling and re-assuring!
2. Thank God for the statement made regarding the general elections and the prayers and declarations made around the same.
Sermon-Based Prayer
1. Thank God for initiating reconciliation through Jesus Christ and that we will live in gratitude for His Grace and mercy.
“And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:18, KJV).
2. Pray for a deeper understanding of Christ’s sacrifice at the cross so that we can daily walk in the righteousness of God
“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21, KJV).
3. Pray for transformation and renewal of ICA members into a new life in Christ
“Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17, KJV).
4. Pray that ICA members and believers will be faithful ambassadors of Christ and that we will be able to reflect the true love of God.
“Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God” (2 Corinthians 5:20, KJV).
