Praying for Malawi

But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.

2 Thessalonians 3:3 ESV

When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan. Proverbs 29:2 NLT

1. Pray for peace and stability amidst the ongoing fuel crisis.

2. Pray for the leaders of Malawi to govern with wisdom and justice.

3. Pray that there will be a rise of a generation in Malawi that will stand against corruption and other negative practices that continue to deter the development of the nation

4. Pray that despite the economic hardships, crime rates will not rise in this nation. Pray for the peace and safety of all Malawian citizens.

Praying for Cote d’ Ivoire (West and Central Africa)

and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.

Ephesians 6:19-20 ESV

1. Despite many of the people groups above having their primary religion as Christianity, the largest overall religion in Cote d’Ivoire is Islam. Pray that a new zeal will be ignited among the Christians in Cote d’Ivoire to boldly preach the gospel.

2. Pray that doors will open among these groups that will make it easier for the gospel to spread.

3. Pray against political unrest between northern and southern people groups that has caused unrest and made it difficult for Christianity to spread in Cote d’Ivoire.

4. Animism is still strong in Côte d'Ivoire, despite apparent numerical decline. Pray that all who have not fully left behind this past might be completely delivered by the power of Jesus. Pray that believers might withstand temptation to revert to old practices of animism.
