Praying for India (Asia)
Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38

India is one of the world’s largest and most spiritually diverse nations, with a very large population and many people groups that remain least reached with the gospel. The prayer focus for today is Gujarat, a place marked by religious tension and persecution. Muslims and Christians, including those from Dalit and tribal communities, face intimidation and pressure. Religious oppression sometimes prevents Christian outreach and creates division among believers. At the same time, such pressure can also become a place where God brings new life, courage and revival. Special prayer is also needed for labourers to reach unreached communities, especially the Jains, including those in Saurashtra and Ahmadabad, where there is little Christian work.
1. Pray for peace, justice and religious tolerance in Gujarat, Goa, Himachal Pradesh and across India. Pray against every form of intimidation, oppression and violence, and for God to cause righteousness, mercy and truth to prevail among communities, leaders and authorities.
2. Pray for Christians in India, especially those facing pressure because of their faith. Ask the Lord to strengthen them with courage, unity, wisdom and love. Pray also for biblical clarity and new life in Christ where Christianity has become mixed with cultural or traditional beliefs, especially in places such as Goa.
3. Pray for unreached people groups in India, including the Jains, Tibetan refugees, Buddhist communities, and other least-reached groups. Ask the Lord of the harvest to send labourers with compassion, humility, wisdom and boldness to share the gospel clearly and lovingly.
4. Pray that the gospel will take root in families and communities across India through faithful witness, Scripture, discipleship and the work of the Holy Spirit. Thank God for the growth of the Church in Himachal Pradesh, and pray for more believers, healthy churches, trained church planters, and strong collaboration among those engaged in gospel work.
