Psalm 32:7 (ESV) - You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah

Psalm 46:1 (ESV) - God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Psalm 121:7 (ESV) - The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life.

1. Pray for protection of people and property amidst natural calamities. We hear of devastating earthquakes (Venezuela), strong winds, tornados. Pray against loss of life and property during such calamities. 

2. Pray for comfort for all the families that have lost their loved ones either through natural disasters and wars.

Isa 41:10 (ESV) - fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

3. Pray for peace and reconciliation among warring nations, communities and tribes. May God speak to nations leaders and those in authority to consider peace talks over fighting. Our God is the ultimate source of peace in every circumstance -

2 Thessalonians 3:16 (ESV) - Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.

4. Pray against the spirit and acts of xenophobia in countries that are engaged in it. Pray for safety of those entangled in such uncalled-for acts.

Zechariah 7:9-10 ESV) 9 “Thus says the Lord of hosts, Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another, 10 do not oppress the widow, the fatherless, the sojourner, or the poor, and let none of you devise evil against another in your heart.”
