IDENTITY FORMATION IN DISCIPLESHIP
THANKSGIVING
Psalm 92:1
“It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High.”
1. Thank God, for the grace that enabled Pastor Jerry to share His word clearly and accurately.
2. Thank God for our identity in Christ. Thank God that He gives it in spite of who we are and without considering our backgrounds.
3. Thank God for ministering to us in an amazing way. Thank God, for all the miracles that He saw ICA fit to receive.
PRAYER
Ephesians 2:10
For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
1 Corinthians 11:1
Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.
Psalm 139:13-14
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. 14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
Genesis 1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
1. Pray that as ICA members we will find it important to understand who we are in Christ and that this will help us develop further who we are thereby maximizing our effectiveness. Pray that if any of us misunderstand our identities we will not transfer it to our disciples.
2. Our identity must be framed most importantly by who God says we are. Pray that God will help any ICA member who still struggles to understand that in Christ we are complete as regards our salvation and spiritual standing.
3. Pray that God will forgive us for not taking time to understand our disciples and ending up mishandling them. Pray that every cell leader will understand the importance of this and intentionally relate with every cell member.
4. Pray that every ICA member will seriously consider how to maximize the potential of our identity in Christ, having understood that our calling to faith is the core of our identity.
5. Pray that we will all respect the process of identity formation, accepting to let go of certain things and able to embrace what would bring the required transformation in our lives.
