Praise and Thanksgiving

Psalms 47:1-4 Clap your hands, all peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy! For the LORD, the Most High, is to be feared, a great king over all the earth. He subdued peoples under us, and nations under our feet. He chose our heritage for us, the pride of Jacob whom he loves. 

1. Praise God as the Most High and the great King over all the earth. Thank Him for His supreme authority, mighty power and sovereign rule over all peoples and nations. Rejoice before Him with gladness, honour and songs of joy.

2. Thank God for His victory, favour and gracious purposes for us His people. Praise Him for overcoming every opposing power, choosing our inheritance according to His wisdom, and surrounding us with His faithful and enduring love.

Prayer

2 Timothy 1:6 “For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.”

Isaiah 60:1 “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.”

Matthew 28:19-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” 

1. Pray for fresh fire, revival and deeper consecration: Pray that God will draw us into His presence, purify our hearts and set us ablaze through the Holy Spirit. Ask Him to revive every neglected gift, abandoned calling and weakened spiritual discipline, so that we will reject lukewarmness and remain burning and effective in His service.

2. Pray that our identity and confidence will be firmly established in God: Pray that believers will overcome fear, inadequacy, rejection and every attack against their identity. Ask God to help us depend on His presence above our qualifications, positions and abilities, knowing that we can fulfil our assignments because He is with us.

3. Pray that we will discover and faithfully pursue our God-given purpose: Pray that God will reveal the needs, injustices and situations we have been called to address. Ask Him to convict us not to join the chorus of complaining or become distracted by worldly pleasures, but to arise, shine and become His solutions in our families, Church, workplaces, communities and nation.

4. Pray for humility, collaboration and perseverance in fulfilling God’s assignments: Pray that we will recognise our need for other people, welcome their gifts and work together without insecurity, competition or pride. Ask God to give us courage to endure opposition, rejection and hardship without abandoning the mission, understanding that challenges do not necessarily mean that we are on the wrong path.

5. Pray that ICA will become a burning, shining and disciple-making Church: Pray that the fire of God within us will produce visible transformation, compassionate service and courageous leadership. Ask the Holy Spirit to enable us not only to preach the gospel, but also to model Christ, influence others and raise committed disciples who will follow Jesus and help others follow Him.
