Day 8 - Prayer and Fasting : DIVINE OPPORTUNITIES
Matthew 28:19-20"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
1 Peter 3:15"But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect."
Romans 10:14-15, 17"How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!’ ... So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ."
2 Timothy 4:2"Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching."
1. Ask God to create opportunities for us to share the Gospel. Pray that we will rescue as many souls as is possible. Pray that we will understand that Jesus will accompany us on every divine mission we undertake.
2. One great opportunity we have is the fact that all authority in heaven, on earth and under the earth belongs to Jesus. Pray that we will never undermine this authority but will take advantage of it to enter enemy territory without being intimated.
3. Pray that we will be prepared for every divine opportunity to make a defense to anyone who needs to know the reason for the hope that is in us and that we will be able to do it with gentleness and respect.
4. Prayer is one way to create divine opportunities. Pray that we will commit to praying for various people so we will have opportunities to share the gospel with them.
5. God creates divine opportunities by sending people to preach so faith can come through hearing of the word. Pray that we will not lose opportunities that God creates for us in 2025 and that in each of those opportunities a lot of people will develop faith and grow it.
6. Divine opportunities come in and out of season. Pray that we will always be ready to preach the word, whether the season demands that we reprove, rebuke or exhort
