Praying for missionary Rev. Popapo Mwenekiombe, who ministers in South Africa
1. Over 60 Malawi Assemblies of God migrant churches were planted in South Africa. Over 80 ministers have been trained since 2017. Pray that God should use these available resources to reach out to South Africans and other migrant communities in South Africa.
Mark 16:15 (ESV) “And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation”.
2. Pray for a welcoming heart among sister churches of the Assemblies of God as they work together spreading the gospel. They should be united in love so that others see Christ in them.
Ephesians 4:16 (ESV) “From whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love”.
3. Pray for leadership in Malawi Assemblies' migrant churches to be dedicated and focused like Jesus Christ, and live a sacrificial life as they reach out to lost souls.
Hebrews 12:2 (ESV) “Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God”.
Romans 12:1 (ESV) “I appeal to you, therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship”.
4. Pray for Rev. Mwenekiombe and family as they are seeking God’s new direction on where to serve.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV) “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths”.
5. Pray for Rev. Mwenekiombe and his family members' protection as they move around the country of South Africa. Pray that they will not be afraid, as God is on their side.
