a) Praying for Malawi:

Jeremiah 33:9 (ESV) “And this city shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and a glory before all the nations of the earth who shall hear of all the good that I do for them. They shall fear and tremble because of all the good and all the prosperity I provide for it”.

1. Praying for cities: Cities serve as the hubs of economic activity. Pray that all four cities in Malawi will live up to their city status by providing their inhabitants with all necessary amenities. Pray that the rural masses will enjoy the economic benefits that emanate from the cities.

2. Declaration: Declare that Lilongwe, Blantyre, Mzuzu, and Zomba cities will bring joy, praise, and glory before all nations as they meet their obligations to the nation.

3. Prosperity: Pray for the prosperity of the cities in Malawi. As the cities prosper, so will the nation.

4. Declaration: Declare that Lilongwe, Blantyre, Mzuzu, and Zomba cities are becoming prosperous cities.

Job 22:28 “You will declare on a matter, and it will be established for you, and light will shine on your ways”.

5. Safety: Pray against criminal activities in the cities and Malawi nation as a whole. Cases of breakdown in security become rampant during the election period. Cancel and uproot any evil plans being hatched as the nation prepares for the General Elections.

Matt 15:13 “He answered, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up”.

b) Praying for African People Groups: Gabon, Central Africa

1 Corinthians 15:57 (ESV) “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ”.

1. Thank God for the victory to share the gospel in the People Groups of Gabon.

2. Pray for unity among the churches in Gabon for great outreach to the People Groups.

3. Pray for salvation grace for the Simba and Teke, Northern People Groups.

4. Pray that God will raise Elijahs of today in Gabon to preach Christ with boldness.

5. Pray for healing for those afflicted in body and for signs and wonders to follow the preaching of God’s word.

Acts 4:30 “While you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”
