Millions of Indonesians need a new place to live. The Transmigration scheme. Since Java and Bali are highly crowded, the government organised the relocation of over 8 million people to Sumatra, Kalimantan Sulawesi, Papua and West Papua where more space is available. Most people relocated were Muslim Javanese and Mudurese. In places like Papua and West Papua, the indigenous people have become minorities within their own homeland.

Prayer Points

1. Pray for Church Growth Amidst Opposition: Pray that the Church in this region continues to grow despite the intense opposition and persecution believers face.

2. Pray for Revival and Spiritual Strengthening

a. Revival: Pray for revival in areas that have been Christian for centuries (such as North Sulawesi, North Sumatra, West Timor, and Maluku). Many denominations there lack spiritual life and struggle with immorality, divisions, and even indigenous occult practices.

b. Mature and Spiritual Leaders: Pray for the raising of mature, spiritually strong leaders. The rapid growth of newer Pentecostal and charismatic churches has created a great need for discipleship and training for both lay leaders and pastors.

c. New Believers from Muslim Backgrounds: Pray for believers coming from Muslim backgrounds, who often face rejection and persecution from their families and communities. Pray that they find strength in Christ and acceptance in the Body, as they often struggle to fit into existing Christian culture and churches.

3. Pray for Whole Households to Follow Christ: Pray that entire families come to know Jesus and choose to follow Him together within their own culture
