NIGHT OF PRAYER PETITIONS

ICA WOMEN REVIVAL
What does revival mean?

  • Revival is the process of renewing our faith, rekindling our passion for God and restoring our relationship with God. Initially revival is for the believers because it has to spill over to unsaved.
  • Revival Means making alive again those who have been alive but have fallen into what is called a cold, or dead, state. They are Christians and have life but they need reviving to bring them back to their first love and health.

Acts 3:19 Repent, then and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.

Matthew 6:33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Luke 10:41-42 And Jesus answered and said unto her Martha, Martha you are careful and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed and Mary has chosen that good which shall not be taken away from her.

Five Elements for Revival: Keys to Awakening

  1. Repentance: A turning from sin, as seen in 2 Chronicles 7:14, where humility and confession pave the way for God’s renewal.
  2. Prayer: Earnest, heartfelt seeking, like in Habakkuk 3:2 (Lord repeat them in our day).
  3. Renewal of the Spirit: Gods transformative touch, as promised in Ezekiel 36:26 (I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you).
  4. The importance of Prioritizing Relationship with Jesus over the busyness above all else – Luke 10:41-42.
  5. Community Impact: Revival spreads, touching families, churches, and cities, as in Acts 2’s Pentecost.

Prayers:

  1. Repentance:

    • Acknowledge that we have failed as women, in so many ways. Luke 8:2. Pray that the Holy Spirit will convict women of all the sins they committed knowingly and unknowingly. Mary Magdalene’s deliverance marked a turning point in her life. Pray that women will Confess and take a bold step of no turning back.
    • A woman who anointed Jesus, weeps, washes his feet with her tears, dries them with her hair, kisses them, and anoints them with ointment. A demonstration of repentance and love, recognizing Jesus’ authority and seeking forgiveness. Luke 7:36-50. Pray that God will direct women to the actions that will bring honor to Him. Pray that the Holy Spirit will help them to be grateful always for what God has done for them.
  2. Prayer: Earnest, heartfelt seeking – Hannah (1 Samuel 1)
    • Pray that women will approach God with sincerity, passion, and a deep awareness of their need for His intervention.
    • Pray that they will be persistent and unwavering in prayer like Hannah. Pray that they will always pray according to Gods will aligning their prayers with God’s word.
    • Pray that they will have a deep desire to set aside, dedicated time for prayer at a quiet place, where they can focus on God without distraction.
  3. Renewal of the Spirit
    • Pray that women will focus on asking God for a new heart, a right spirit, and fresh filling of the Holy Spirit.
    • Pray that the Lord will restore to them the joy of His salvation and grant them a willing spirit to sustain them.
    • Pray for the renewal of their minds with His word.
    • Pray for His love to revive every weary part of their souls.
  4. The importance of prioritizing a relationship
    • Like Martha, they may often get caught up in the busyness of life. Pray that God will help them to remember the importance of sitting at His feet listening to His word and nurturing their relationship with Him. May grant them the wisdom to prioritize what truly matters and to find a balance between service and spiritual growth.
  5. Community Impact
    • Pray that God will help them to find a shared purpose that unites them. Pray that as promised, God will pour out His Spirit upon them so that their power may be seen in our community and bring great harvest to His kingdom. Pray that God will guide them to work together for the common good. Pray that God will give them a heart of supporting one another in their endeavors. Pray that their collective efforts will bring about positive change in their community.
    • Pray that our Heavenly Father will grant them the wisdom to live peacefully with one another, to resolve conflicts with grace and seek peaceful solutions. May their communities be a beacon of God’s peace and love.
