Praying for Malawi

For kingship belongs to the Lord, and he rules over the nations. Psalm 22:28

He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. Daniel 2:21

1. Thank God for the peace Malawi continues to enjoy, for the gift of life, and for His sustaining grace even in the face of economic and social challenges. Acknowledge His mercy that has preserved the nation and upheld families, communities, and institutions. Declare that He remains faithful to watch over the nation as a Shepherd watches His flock.

2. Pray for the electoral campaign period leading to the September elections. Ask God to guide the process in peace, fairness, and truth. Pray that candidates and supporters will focus on constructive, issue-based dialogue and resist the temptation to slander or divide. Ask the Lord to frustrate every plan of violence, manipulation, or wickedness, and let justice and righteousness prevail.

3. Pray for the economically struggling—those without jobs, daily income, or food. Ask the Lord to provide through divine means and through the work of organisations and churches involved in livelihood and empowerment programs. Pray that these efforts will be impactful, lifting individuals and households out of poverty with dignity and hope. Ask God to stir a spirit of diligence across the nation, breaking laziness and dependency, and cultivating a willingness to work and grow.

4. Pray for the youth of Malawi—for their development, education, and contribution to the nation’s prosperity. Ask the Lord to open doors for honest wealth creation, innovation, and entrepreneurship among young people. Pray for protection from criminal influences, and that the next generation will walk in righteousness, integrity, and godly ambition.

Praying for the People Groups of Nigeria

And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. Luke 10:2

1. Pray for great revival on the Church in Nigeria to cleanse, empower and send out to the lost especially among the Pa’a, Afawa and Panawa people groups and all individuals caught up in Islam and ethnic regions.

2. Pray for great outpouring of God’s Spirit on each of the people group above bringing conviction of sin.

3. Pray for clear, biblical dreams and visions and revelations drawing people to Jesus.

4. Pray for powerful, biblical signs and wonders of healing, deliverance and miracles.

5. Pray that God will send more workers into His harvest in obedience to Luke 10:2.

6. Pray for great people movements to Christ and Church Planting Movements in Nigeria. Pray that new converts will be biblically discipled and will grow in Jesus Christ.
