PRAYING FOR SUNDAY SERVICES
Psalms 84:1-10
[1] How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! [2] My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. [3] Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young— a place near your altar, Lord Almighty, my King and my God. [4] Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you. [5] Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. [6] As they pass through the Valley of Baka, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools. [7] They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion. [8] Hear my prayer, Lord God Almighty; listen to me, God of Jacob. [9] Look on our shield, O God; look with favor on your anointed one. [10] Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
1. Thank God, for the opportunity He gives us every Sunday to worship Him and fellowship with one another. Thank God for the encouragement the Body of Christ receives.
Hebrews 10:25 - not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
2. Pray that every ICA member, young and old, will hunger for God’s presence and will be excited to come and worship God. Pray that we will find the time we spend in the presence of the Lord better than time spent elsewhere.
3. Pray that everyone will benefit from the presence of the Lord and prosper in it, like the sparrow. Pray that we will find rest, security, and strength in the presence of the Lord and that we will be willing to make ourselves vulnerable therein, so God may minister to us.
4. Those who come into God's presence are ever praising. Pray that the spirit of praise will grip everyone who attends our services tomorrow and that they will display it throughout the week.
5. Pray that the pastors and all workers (praise teams, protocol teams, and elders) will find strength in the presence of the Lord to minister to His people. Pray that every ministry will be anointed, relevant, and impactful.
6. Dedicate the altar to the Lord and pray that genuine sacrifices will be made on this altar and that everyone who presents him/herself therein will encounter the Lord.
7. Tomorrow is “Building Sunday” and pledges will be collected towards the construction of the children’s church. Pray that God will move ICA members to give towards this cause and to fully cover the target.
