Praying for Malawi

1. Pray that God will raise up leaders of integrity in Malawi—those who fear Him and govern with wisdom, humility, and justice. Pray for righteous leadership that will guard against corruption and self-interest, and bring rejoicing and prosperity to the citizens.

Proverbs 29:2 - “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people mourn.”

2. Pray for sufficient water for irrigation systems, and for sustainable and strategic solutions to support food security through proper water management. The Department of Irrigation has plans for the 2025 irrigation season, to curb the looming hunger. Pray that these plans will be implemented successfully.

Proverbs 16:3 – “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”

3. Pray for the Reserve Bank of Malawi, law enforcement, and government agencies to be endowed with integrity, wisdom, and courage to dismantle illicit markets for forex. Pray that they will understand that they are God’s servants to uphold justice and punish wrongdoing. Pray also for systems that protect the vulnerable from exploitation.

4. Pray for solutions to fuel, supply challenges—including improved infrastructure, fair pricing, and responsible management. Ask God to open doors for sustainable energy initiatives, diplomacy with suppliers, etc. Pray also that God will uphold those who depend on fuel for livelihoods.

Revelation 3:7 – “These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.”

1. Pray for great outpouring of God’s Spirit on the people groups bringing conviction of sin.

2. Pray for clear, biblical dreams, visions, and revelations drawing people to Jesus.

3. Pray for powerful, biblical signs and wonders of healing, deliverance and miracles.

4. Pray that God will send more workers into His harvest in obedience to Luke 10:2.

5. Pray for great people movements to Christ and Church Planting Movements and that new converts will be biblically discipled and will grow in Jesus.

Matthew 28:19-20 – “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Luke 10:2 – “He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
