Praying for Malawi and unreached people groups
a) Praying for Malawi : Psalm 68:5–6 – “A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.”.
Psalm 82:3–4 – “Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”
Psalm 33:12 – “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance.”
• Thank God for Malawi and for letting us be its citizens in such a time as this
• Pray against violence, bloodshed, and unrest during the campaign and election period.
• Pray that Malawi will be granted a righteous leader after God’s own heart, ruling with justice and integrity.
• Pray that God touches Malawi’s economy, opens doors of opportunity, and brings financial breakthroughs.
• Pray for increased prosperity, business growth, and fair distribution of resources to bless the people.
b) Praying for Unreached people groups
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you.” (Ezekiel 36:26)
“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” (Matthew 9:37–38)
“You are worthy… because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.” (Revelation 5:9)
• Pray for the light of the Gospel to break through spiritual darkness among these groups bound by Islam and ethnic religions.
• Pray for the raising and sending of laborers who will courageously share Christ in culturally relevant ways.
• Pray for open hearts and receptive spirits, that many will turn from traditional beliefs to follow Jesus.
• Pray for the growth of small fellowships and churches, that they will be rooted, strengthened, and become multiplying witnesses among their own people.
