Every season God allows to go through comes with challenges and opportunities, we will do well when we navigate through the seasons of life from the perspective of the unchangeable changer, God!
Seasons shape us both positively and negatively, our progression to be the best of who we are depends shift we make from our present self to that better version of us.
Getting out of the bubble is ‘seeing and experiencing the world as it is, not clouded by dogmas (Google). In this case getting out of the bubble is experiencing and embracing the world as God sees and desires it to be
Pitfalls to watch out – What happens when trapped in a bubble?
Unbelief
- The Israelites ended up wandering in the wilderness because of unbelief. God has and will continue open doors for us, but the important issue is how ready we are to trust him into unknown terrains.
- The lack of faith fizzles out the dreams we have, so believe in your dreams!! Do not allow the manifestation of God’s plans for our lives to be choked through unbelief because of our experiences.
- Disobedience
- They did not obey God whole heartedly. This is a generation that wanted to obey God when it was convenient for them.
- They came to the point of thinking that God hated them. We may go through seasons of barrenness, confusion and pain but always remember God loves us.
- Arrogance
- Getting out of the bubble is difficult when we are full of pride and arrogance. We need to relearn, retrain and let go of attitudes and habits that can destroy our relationship with God.
- We cannot correct our sins by sinning further. Correcting what has gone wrong must be by godly standards, otherwise we get ourselves further into the bubble.
Getting ready for the new season
Be grounded in the purposes of God for our lives
- It is important in life to affirm of God’s purposes and promises for our lives. This generation that was about to cross over needed to know that that getting to the next phase of life in not just by chance.
- We cannot afford to go blindly into the next phase of life, we must have a perception of God’s workings and how that affects us.
- Get out of the bubble
- Where we are can be a place of comfort of limitation, and if we are indifferent, it can affect us such that we don’t push or are paralyzed to shift in line with the demands of the next season.
- Deuteronomy 1:6 “The LORD our God said to us in Horeb, ‘You have stayed long enough at this mountain.
- The children of Israel struggled in the wilderness to obey and follow God because of their past experience, they did not break out of the bubble to experience what God what doing.
- We cannot make progress with our hands tied to the back.
- Embrace a clear direction
- Getting out of the bubble is not just embracing change for the sake of change, it is grounded in the purposes and direction from the Lord.
- Beyond speed and getting to there, direction is critical when we are dealing with God. Not only is direction important but also the scope and boundaries of where they would go, so God in giving directions also defined the boundaries of the assignment - as far as the great river, the river Euphrates..
- God’s and success is guaranteed in as far as we are within the limits of what He has assigned us to do.
- Working the dream
- Getting out of the bubble must be translated into work on the ground. The resolutions we have prayerfully developed will become a reality when we work on them.
Conclusion
We must get out of any bubble that we may be in was by strengthening the work and purposes of God in our lives. God never wastes any experience we have – even the negative ones, He can make the best out of it as we submit to Him.
We embrace the coming year knowing that God has better plans for each one of us.
