Key Thought

Even though in the world, we have been called out of the world and therefore our conduct ought to
reflect our heavenly citizenship.

The world- is the systems and values that work in rebellion to God

1. Do not love the world - Our identity should not be framed by the world.
2. What the world offers is not from the father - The kingdom we belong to has a different culture and value system
3. The world is temporal in nature - We must focus on eternal realities - the world is passing away
4. We represent a heavenly kingdom - We live in constant expectation of the return of our king and savior Jesus Christ
