Yahweh set in motion the universal clock; He also will bring it to a stop. That time is coming quickly. For, us to learn to walk in association with Him

Daniel’s vision in Ch. 11: 36-37 had double fulfillment. Antiochus Epiphanes was prophesied to be very evil and troublesome to Israel. However, when we notice of his characteristics, it is obvious there is a man to come in the future who shall be possessed by Satan himself fulfills to the fullest this prophecy. Chapter Twelve is the Epilogue of the various visions Daniel his stay in Babylon. Furthermore, this chapter deals more with the end times than the other five chapters. It reveals that God is one with capacity to shut down the process of time. Here are five Major prophetic Elements essential for our understanding

1. The Timing of Great Tribulation

   • The Great Tribulation eschatologically, is placed in the period called the “end times.”
   • Time of Trouble is when they shall be trouble for Israel that the nation has never ever experienced before nor any nation (12:1). It is also called Jacobs Trouble
   • Mathew 24: 21-22 said the same about the Great Tribulation. This is a great time of trouble 
   • This is a time of seven years, also called Daniel’s 70th Week in Daniel 9: 27 
   • Revelation 6 to 18 shows in a detail the great tribulation when Jesus opens the seal of the scroll.
   • It is God pouring tribulation to Israel and the rest of the World;
   • The trouble will be so expansive, so detailed and covering every aspect of the earth. It will affect the rivers, lakes, the atmosphere, people systems and communities, economies will collapse; natural disasters, famine, droughts; sores and plagues
   • In Revelation the various aspect of judgments are shown as Seals, Trumpets, Bowls, 
   • Many will die and those who shall be believe in God shall do it with Martyrdom 
2. The Reasons for  the Great Tribulation
   • To rebuke the people that reject him so that they may be zealous and repent. Whoever, shall follow Christ shall do it under the threat of the punishment by the Antichrist
   • The End time shall bring pain to Israel until the reach out to God. Zec. 12:10  And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn
   • Revelation 7: God will raise from Israel 144,000 Jewish Witnesses. They shall be 12,000 from each tribe 
3. The Role of the AntiChrist Daniel 11: 36-37
   • He will be against Christ and he will seek to be a replacement of Christ.
   • He could be Jewish but who will be non-religious; maybe an atheist (Dan. 11:36)
   • He will lead a worldwide system that will control Politics, Economies, and Religion
   • He will be possessed by the devil and oppose God. He will lead to the #
   • He will rule the Ten Nation Confederation seen in Daniel 7 (Ten Toes)
   • He will be defeated by Jesus at the battle of Armageddon (Rev. 16:14-17)
   • Climax of the Great Tribulation is when the Antichrist leads the world to fight Jesus
4. Deliverance of the Believers (Rapture)
   • Everyone written in the book shall be delivered
   • When will this be? The deliverance happens at the Rapture
   • There is a generation of believers who will be caught up to heaven. 
   • The Word Rapture is not in the scripture 
   • 1 Thess. 4: 16 Hapadzo (Gk) Latin Raptuse where we get the word Rapture
   • The church does not go through the Great Tribulation. Paul states that we should comfort one another with these words because we don’t do through the great trouble
   • 
5. Judgment For All (Daniel 12:2)
   • Daniel shows the status of everyone at the end of their death
   • Where would you spend eternity
   • Two groups of people: Everlasting Life & Shame and everlasting contempt
   • The Great White Throne Judgment reveals that those who are not believers are not written in the book. Books are opened Rev. 20:12. Those whose names are written are set to Everlasting life. 
   • Jesus is the only way to heaven and when you follow him, your name would be written in the book

The Time of the End

Dan 12:1  “At that time shall arise Michael, the great prince who has charge of your people. And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time. But at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone whose name shall be found written in the book. 

Dan 12:2  And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 

 Dan 12:3  And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. 

Dan 12:4  But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” 

Dan 12:5  Then I, Daniel, looked, and behold, two others stood, one on this bank of the stream and one on that bank of the stream. 

Dan 12:6  And someone said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream, “How long shall it be till the end of these wonders?” 

Dan 12:7  And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream; he raised his right hand and his left hand toward heaven and swore by him who lives forever that it would be for a time, times, and half a time, and that when the shattering of the power of the holy people comes to an end all these things would be finished. 

Dan 12:8  I heard, but I did not understand. Then I said, “O my lord, what shall be the outcome of these things?” 

Dan 12:9  He said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end. 

Dan 12:10  Many shall purify themselves and make themselves white and be refined, but the wicked shall act wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand. 

Dan 12:11  And from the time that the regular burnt offering is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there shall be 1,290 days. 

Dan 12:12  Blessed is he who waits and arrives at the 1,335 days. 

Dan 12:13  But go your way till the end. And you shall rest and shall stand in your allotted place at the end of the days.” 

Rev 16:14  For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty. 

Rev 16:15  (“Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!”) 

Rev 16:16  And they assembled them at the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.
