“And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.” Acts 20:32 KJV
1. Thank God for the wonderful service that we had yesterday and for the Word that was shared in the power of the Holy Spirit. Pray that we will prayerfully meditate on it and be built by the Word.
Sermon-Based Prayer: I’ve Got Questions: Confronting the Hard Questions in Life
“Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.”
— Psalm 42:11 ESV
1. “We all encounter hard questions in life. The way to confront these difficult situations and the questions that they generate is NOT to ignore them but to process them.” Pray that the people of ICA will prayerfully process difficult questions and seasons of life.
2. Some questions have no answer. Pray that we will live content and keep our trust in the Lord regardless of what we go through.
3. Authentic faith requires that we address the hard questions of life. Pray that the people of ICA will seek answers from God, and that we will speak faith about our lives and our futures.
