Praying for Malawi and African People Groups

Praying for Malawi

Jeremiah 29:7 (NIV) - Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.

Psalm 55:22 (NIV) - Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

1. Pray that the nation of Malawi will continue to enjoy peace. Pray against any evil plans or intentions that can bring or cause conflicts in Malawi.

2. Pray to the Lord for Malawi’s economic growth and stability. Pray that the Malawi Kwacha currency will gain its value against major trading currencies.

3. Pray for quality education across all the 3 cadres of education system in Malawi; primary, secondary and tertiary. Pray for availability of human, financial and capital resources. Pray that the free education system will not compromise the quality of education offered in the schools.

4. Pray that Malawi will have a vibrant healthcare system (availability of workforce; availability of essential drugs, etc). Pray against drug theft in the country’s hospitals.

Praying for African People Groups of Gabon, West and Central Africa

Acts 3:19 (NIV) - Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.

Isaiah 43:19 (ESV) - Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

1. Thank God for the people groups of Gabon, His own creation. Thank God for the areas where the gospel has been preached and the people groups practice Christianity.

2. Pray to the Lord, that many people in Gabon will repent and turn to God who wipes out sins and brings refreshing times.

3. Pray to God to soften the people’s hearts of those still practicing ethnic religions to receive the good news of Jesus Christ, for He is able to make ways in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. There is nothing too hard with Him.
