But avoid irreverent babble, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness, and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus,  who have swerved from the truth, saying that the resurrection has already happened. They are upsetting the faith of some. 2 Timothy 2:16-18

For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. 2 Timothy 4:3-4

Praise and Thanksgiving

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, Psalms 103:2-3

1. Praise God for who He is—our Father, Saviour, Healer, Provider and Sustainer. Thank Him for the gift of life, good health, daily providence, protection, healing, and for sustaining us and our families by His grace.
2. Thank God for the freedom and ability to gather, worship Him, and listen to sound biblical teaching. Praise Him for using His Word to deepen our spirituality, strengthen our faith, and protect us from deception and heresy.

Prayer

1. Pray that God will increase our discernment and help us test every teaching, prophecy and spiritual influence by His Word.
2. Pray that ICA will remain grounded in sound doctrine that produces holiness, obedience, humility and love for Christ.
3. Pray that every false teaching, deception and ungodly influence will be exposed and stopped before it spreads and weakens people’s faith.
4. Pray for those trapped, wounded or confused by false teachers, false prophets or cultic control, that God will deliver, heal and restore them.
5. Pray that we will not crave myths, arguments or sensational revelations, but remain committed to Scripture and grow as mature disciples of Christ.

Pray for Malawi Assemblies of God Church

bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. Colossians 3:13–14

Pray that love will lead in every heart, conversation and decision regarding the ongoing situation. Pray that wounds will be healed; that unity will be restored; and that church members and leaders will walk in humility, patience, forgiveness and the bond of peace.
