Praying for Sunday Services

2 Thessalonians 3:1(ESV) - Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored, as happened among you.

Matthew 13:23 (ESV) - As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.

Acts 1:8 (ESV) - But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

Isaiah 55:11 (ESV) - so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

1. Pray for the preachers as they prepare and deliver the message. Pray for good health, clarity, boldness to share the true Word.

2. Pray that the congregation will be receptive to the Word of God preached and honour it. 

3. Pray that the preached Word will find good and fertile soils to grow and bring positive results.

4. Pray that the Word preached and the power of the Holy Spirit will propel us to be passionate witnesses of the Gospel. 

5. Pray that God’s Word will accomplish that which it was intended to achieve to all who will hear it. 

6. Pray for support systems (media, protocol, Worship team, etc) for effective coordination to the glory of God.

7. Pray for unity and love within the congregation.
