Tomorrow is National Women’s Ministries (OMC) Day. 

1. Pray that every woman will grow in the fear of the Lord. Pray that God will raise up women whose greatest pursuit is to know, love, and obey Him. Pray that their lives will reflect holiness, humility, and unwavering devotion to Christ and that the fear of the Lord will be the foundation of every decision they make.

Proverbs 31:30

"Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised."

2. Pray for wisdom and godly speech. Pray that the Lord will fill the women of our church with heavenly wisdom. As they lead tomorrow’s service, let every prayer, testimony, song, activity and message be inspired by the Holy Spirit and minister grace, encouragement, and truth to everyone present.

Proverbs 31:26

"She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness." 

3. Pray for strength, dignity, and courage. Pray that God will clothe every woman with spiritual strength and dignity. Pray that God will help them overcome fear, discouragement, and every challenge they face and grant them confidence in His promises and hope for the future.

Proverbs 31:25

"Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come." 

4. Pray for diligence and fruitfulness in every area of life. Pray that God will bless the work of the hands of every woman and make them diligent in their homes, workplaces, ministries, businesses, and communities. Pray that their labour will produce lasting fruit that glorifies His name and blesses many people.

Proverbs 31:13–18, 27

13 She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. 14 She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. 15 She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants. 16 She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. 17 She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. 18 She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. 27 She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.

5. Pray for compassionate hearts and impactful ministry. Pray that God will fill the women of our church with His compassion and use them as instruments of mercy, generosity, encouragement, and healing. Pray that they will touch lives through acts of kindness and faithfully demonstrate the love of Christ, as otumikira mwa chikondi (OMC).

Proverbs 31:20

"She extends her hand to the poor, yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy."

6. Pray that God will honour and increase the influence of godly women. Pray that the Lord will reward the faithfulness of the women in our church. Pray that He will open doors for greater influence in their families, church, workplaces, and communities. As they lead tomorrow's service, pray that many will be encouraged, strengthened, and drawn closer to God through their ministry.

Proverbs 31:31

"Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates." 

7. Pray that the Women's Day service will be marked by the presence of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, and the faithful witness of women whose lives reflect the virtues described in Proverbs 31.
