  • Pray for peace and healing in Jammu and Kashmir, where the people endure tragic suffering and conflict. Pray for the many unreached groups in this region, including the predominantly Muslim population in the Kashmir Valley, the Hindu majority in Jammu, and the significant Buddhist community in Ladakh. Specifically, pray for a spiritual breakthrough among the isolated Buddhist peoples.
  • Pray for the region's political situation, marked by the ongoing dispute between Pakistan and India over Kashmir since 1947. The conflict has led to the loss of 40,000 lives and displaced 800,000 people. The 2019 decision by the Indian government to remove Kashmir’s special status has heightened tensions, resulting in the arrest of local political leaders, the deployment of additional military troops, and the restriction of communication and media access.
  • Thank God for the growing number of Christians in the region, where entire villages have come to faith despite being few in number. Pray for their protection, as new believers and Christian workers often face persecution from their families and communities. Ask God to strengthen them and provide them with hope and peace in the midst of hatred and violence.
  • Pray for Maharashtra, a large and influential state, where Hindutva agendas often influence the government, leading to discrimination against Muslims, Buddhists, and Christians. Pray for an impartial state government and for the protection of tribal and Dalit peoples who face increasing re-conversion efforts after becoming Christian.
  • Pray for Mumbai, India's economic and cultural powerhouse, home to the stock exchange and Bollywood, but also a city in great need. The massive influx of migrants leads to immense diversity, tension, and desperation, with 60% of the population living in slums, including Dharavi, India's largest slum. Human suffering is widespread, with 200,000 victims of the sex trade, over 100,000 street children, and nearly 300,000 AIDS cases. Crime, pollution, disease, and poverty are rampant. Despite having the second-highest Christian population among India's megacities, the percentage of Christians has declined from 5% to 4%. Pray for Christians to be salt and light in the city, and for the New Life Fellowship's efforts in planting cell churches and distributing Scripture.
