DAY 18: PRAYER & FASTING : RESILIENT HARVESTERS
Galatians 6:9“
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
Hebrews 12:1b-3
And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
1. The harvesting period is always preceded by various processes. Pray that we will commit ourselves to doing everything required to bring forth great harvests. Some processes will be more demanding on us; pray that we will properly count the cost so we do not give up.
2. Harvesting is not for quitters. Pray that no ICA member will ever think of quitting from whatever dream the Lord impresses on us as we begin the year.
3. Some dreams will require more patience and endurance as we wait for the harvest. Pray that we will learn from Jesus who endured the cross, scorning its shame, and endured such opposition, so that we will not grow weary and lose heart
4. Jesus was motivated to endure, by the joy set before Him. Pray that we will fully comprehend the end of the matter for every project we engage in so that we will be motivated to stay on course.
5. Pray for any believers who may be struggling to stay on course or those who already quit the race that they will find new strength to rejoin the race. The harvest field needs them, the labourers are already few
