Praying for World Situations

“Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee: Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name,; Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.” Jeremiah 32:17-19 (KJV)

1. Praying for the suffering and displaced: There is rising humanitarian crises, famine and mass displacement in conflict zones. Countries like Ukraine, Gaza, Sudan, Somalia, Haiti, Burkina Faso and now India-Pakistan are facing severe humanitarian challenges due to ongoing violence, political instability, and natural disasters. These crises have led to mass displacements, food insecurity, and limited access to essential services.

a. Pray that the Lord God whose mercies endure forever will have mercy on those suffering from hunger, poverty, and displacement arising from the conflicts.

b. Pray lifting to God, the people of Ukraine, Gaza, Sudan, Somalia, Haiti, Burkina Faso and India-Pakistan caught up in these crises that God will meet all their needs.

c. Pray that God the Provider will provide food for the hungry, shelter for the homeless, and healing to the broken-hearted.

d. Pray that God will raise up compassionate responders and strengthen relief efforts.

e. Pray that the church will be inspired by God to rise to be a refuge for the afflicted in times of trouble.

“He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.” Psalm 46:9 (KJV)
