Praying for Malawi
1. Praying for leadership and governance; Malawi is preparing for the 2025 general elections, with calls for political parties to prioritize leaders of high integrity to achieve national development goals. Efforts are underway to enhance electoral integrity, drawing lessons from previous elections to ensure credible processes.
a. Praying for Righteous Leadership; Pray that the Lord will raise leaders of integrity who will govern with wisdom, love and justice. “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” – Proverbs 29:2 (KJV)
b. Praying for a peaceful and fair election process: Pray that God will build Malawi. For except the Lord builds the house those that build, build it in vain. Pray that love, peace, truth and fairness will prevail throughout the elections’ entire process (preparatory party primaries, campaign period and during the voting to the results announcement day).
c. Pray against all forms of pre and post elections violence and that those orchestrating it will be exposed and that justice will be administered.
d. Praying for Elections Institutional integrity, professionalism and excellence (MEC/Political Parties/Observers):
i. pray that all institutions responsible for and involved in the elections’ administration and observation will operate with integrity and excellence.
ii. Pray that God will grant wisdom and boldness to the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) to be able to administer the elections with due integrity, professionalism and the fear of God.
iii. Pray for the protection of the MEC Chairperson and the whole Commission and all those delegated to discharge its function that they will safe to follow the laws and the will of God and people of Malawi.
iv. Pray that all Political Parties’ leadership will sow the seeds of peace, love and truthfulness to their followers.
v. Pray against any form of external influence against the choice of Malawians that may plunge the nation into chaos but that Malawians will make a God guided choice for the development of Malawi our land.

The population of Eritrea is equally divided between Christian (Orthodox, Roman Catholic and Lutheran Protestants) and Muslim religions. The largest Muslim group is the Tigre, the only Eritrean or Ethiopian Semitic people which is not Orthodox. They are related to the Christian Tigrinya but are culturally distant from them.
1. Praying for redemption and breakthrough of ministry obstacles: Cultural barriers are high. These can be overcome, but it usually requires much time. Pray for this people group to call out to the Lord to redeem them from sin, their main enemy.
2. Pray that the Tigre would have sufficient food in an area that often experiences famine. Pray for rain and for improved living conditions.
3. Pray for Tigre believers to become effective and fruitful in sowing God's Word among their own families and communities to fuel a movement of God's blessings spreading from household to household.
4. Pray that the few Tigre believers who live in trying circumstances among their Muslim family and friends will be empowered by the Holy Spirit when they face opposition.
