Moses’ father-in-law said to him, “What you are doing is not good. 18 You and the people with you will certainly wear yourselves out, for the thing is too heavy for you. You are not able to do it alone. Exodus 18:17-18

Prayers

1. Pray that our God given visions will not fail because of lack of counsel but succeed with many advisors. Pray that the church will emphasize the value of seeking input from others.

2. Ask God to give us able people, such as those who fear God, people of truth, hating covetousness. Pray that the Lord may give us such people to share our visions with.

3. Pray that the Lord opens our eyes to see the importance of sharing a vision and working together to achieve it.

4. Pray for the church to be aware that God given vision is not meant to be pursued in isolation, but rather in the context of a supportive community of believers

5. Be prepared for disappointments and delays. Jesus Himself lost followers (John 6:66). Pray that the Lord will give His church wisdom, faith, strength and courage to focus on those who remain to support the vision.
