a) Praying for Malawi

Deuteronomy 8:18 – And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

Deuteronomy 28:12 – The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in this season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations but you shall not borrow.

Prayers to Overcome poverty

1. Pray that everyone in the country will desire to succeed in finishing secondary education and that the poverty will greatly be reduced in Malawi.

2. Pray that our nation will acknowledge God’s sovereignty and provision for our nation. Him alone is the ultimate source of wealth and prosperity

3. Prayer: Father, instill in the people a spirit of hard work and diligence. May they be empowered to pursue opportunities and build a better future for ourselves and our families.

4. Prayer: Father, we pray for economic growth and opportunity in our nation. May your blessing rest upon our businesses and industries, creating jobs and prosperity for all.

Praying for People Groups of Nigeria

Revelation 7:9 – After this I looked, and there was a great multitude that no one could count, from ever nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, robed in white, with palm branches in their hands

The Vision in Revelation presents a scene of heavenly worship where a diverse group of people representing all of humanity, are united in praising God

1. Thank God for the salvation and promise of eternal life in His presence for all people’s groups of the earth.

2. Pray to the God of harvest to send labourers to spread the gospel to every people group under ethnic religions of Nigeria West and Central.

3. Pray asking God to break down barriers:

a) Social and cultural beliefs, like divisions between Christianity and Ethnic Religions

b) Internal barriers like unconfessed sin and fear,

c) Spiritual barriers like ignorance
