In Pursuit of Vision
Recurrent Thought:
The greatest level of Vision Achievement is offering service to others
Achieving Visions or Dreams is essentially providing some form of service to others. Whatever we do in life is seen as a service to the improvement of human life. Whether we provide a product or a service it is towards making the Human life better. Thus, when we articulate Visions in Life, whether Kingdom Vision or Personal Vision, it must be framed in the form of delivering service that make others better. What then is Vision? Vision is a tool we use to project our future desire to deliver service. It is a preferred future. Whatever, we believe we want to achieve in life, we paint it with the an already fulfilled picture of the future. In that sense it becomes a beacon of light guiding our path to the Future. When well stated, Vision becomes a powerful beacon for guidance. God’s wisdom states that people without vision tend to live carelessly and without restraint (Prov 29:12).
Life is lived on two planes. We live in both natural and spiritual dimensions, simultaneously. Furthermore, the spiritual dimension is in two categories: You can either be spiritually alive to Yahweh, God, or be dead in one’s trespasses which is also termed to be living under the spirit of darkness. For everyone who has become spiritually enlightened by the Spirit of Yahweh God, they know that they also have an obligation to fulfill service to that Kingdom.
What we call Harvesting, is essentially fulfilling Vision. We have Kingdom Harvest, where we provide service with results in the Kingdom of God. We also have Personal Harvest, when we provide Service to humanity. We should state it clearly that the Personal Vision has many dimensions. Services and Products, that one provides to humanity, are costly and someone has to pay for them. An enterprise, (or a business) is when you monetize the products and services you provide to others. If where you work is not your own business or organization, but still be aware that your entity is providing service or a product with an aim of improving life for others. All organizations in the earth such as governments, companies, NGOs, Not-for profit, FBOs, Trusts, Foundations, etc., they are all arranged to provide services and products to improve human life. Who pays for those services and products is beside the point.
On personal Harvest, it is essential and a demand to have a Vison with an aim to improve your own life. If you don’t, you will not be deliberate in trying to improve your own life.
Here are five pointers about Vision Fulfillment
- State Your Vision Cleary
- Being a harvester (Visions) demands that we define our goals clearly. Jesus did
- Jesus defined his objective as to do the “Will of Him who sent him.”
- He also described it as the Harvest of Souls.
- On further scrutiny shows that it is winning souls for God is what he calls as the Will of the One sent him for he described it as food he had already eaten. What was this? It was ministering to the Samaritan Woman
- Habakkuk 2:2 says “And the LORD answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.”
- A well written Vision gives you capacity to move with it better. It gives speed to achievement.
- Sometimes what we call visions are imaginations that tend to shift every time we speak about them.
- A well written Vision is essential, you create it twice: in your imagination (spirit)and on Paper.
- Passionate Commitment
- Visions are achieved by Passionate pursuit.
- To Fulfil Vision, we have to ensure that our efforts are grounded on Passionate Commitment.
- Jesus described the pursuit of his Vision as good as eating food. He stated that he had already taken food the disciples did not know about (John 4:32).
- Whatever we want achieved should be pursued with Passion.
- Visions consume your life. They demand that you are committed to their fulfillment.
- Fulfilling Visions, whether Kingdom of Personal, they demand passionate commitment.
- Time Bound Delivery of Service
- Every Vision is fulfilled within a specific time.
- There is a time when it is no longer meaningful to serve others. Verse 35
- Recognize that the moment you are given of the Lord to serve others is so divine that you do not rewind it!
- It is essential to understand the frame of time for what you want to pursue.
- Jesus showed the disciples it was essential to know the seasons and the time of the Harvest. Such that he commended them that they were able to diagnosed that the Harvest was four months away.
- Jesus however, informed them that in the Spirit the Harvest was already ready.
- Kingdom Harvest is now. We are not waiting for extra four months.
- It is essential to know that Kingdom Harvest is always ready for harvesting.
- Sustained Urgency
- Visions are fulfilled through sustained focus and urgency. Visions demands that you persevere in towards their fulfillment.
- This is the essence of being burdened with Service to others.
- Despite the financial implications, great visions are burdensome.
- Visions are pursued by diligence, passion and focus.
- Sustained urgency implies that you persist to the finishing line. Jesus said “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and accomplish his work” (John 4:34).
- Celebrate collaborations (John 4:37-38)
- Every vision demands the support of others. Be humble to received it!
- Unfortunately, others come with a spirit to destroy. Some people are a poisoned well. Whenever, they pour into others is contaminated water. Such people need the healing of the Lord.
- One Sows and another Reaps (John 4:37).
- The reality is that You will be reaping the fruit of others sweat just as others will reap from your sweat.
- God has set it in such a way that you need the contributions of others to get from where you are to another location. Therefore, do not despise people on your journey. God may send you angels you do not know!
- Every lifting demands the Favor of others. Favor is when God through human ingenuity, giftings, resources sends it into your life. He allows you.
