Serving the City through Work
God created human beings with the mandate to be Fruitful, Multiply, Subdue and demonstrate dominion in the Earth. This capacity is an endowment through the transfer of the Image of God (Imago Dei). Therefore, every human being has the capacity to be fruitful, multiply, subdue and express dominion where they are placed. Work is one major means through which this Mandate is accomplished. Despite the pain of Work, it makes human beings fruitful in the Earth (Gen. 1:26-28; 2:15)
Cities are centers of accumulated resources. For resources to be available, they must be productivity. Thus, work is main area avenue for this productivity.
For all Christ-devoted followers, work, which is essential for human existence, is now elevated as a service unto the Lord. Both employees and employers must do it as unto the Lord (Colossians 3: 22-4:1; Ephesians 6:5-9)

Four Anchors to support our Faith Shine in the Workplaces
Connect with People, Build Relationship
- We minister through relationship.
- Unfortunately, when we become Christians, we gravitate to have Christian friends; yet those who need the gospel are never in our social circles.
- Ensure you develop relationship beyond the office tasks
- Win others through Great Performance (Col. 3:23)
- Excellent performance is an attraction to many.
- Sloppy workmanship does not attract others to our course; neither does it direct them to Yahweh.
- People are repelled by a Christian who is sloppy, lazy and careless
- A lazy Christian is a bad example of a Christian.
- Shine through Your Personal Integrity
- Christ-devoted followers should pursue growth and bear the Fruit for the Spirit
- A Christian who steals, cheats, and performs all kinds of evil is not a representative
- Pray for Your workplace and Workmates
- This is our mission field therefore; we must be intentional in praying for the people and work itself
