The Lord of the Harvest
Then he said to his disciples,
“The harvest is plentiful,
but the laborers are few;
therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out
laborers into his harvest

Recurrent Thought
Every Harvest Field has distinct authority demands, which workers do well to follow
Seedtime and Harvest is an activity and process with clear regulation. There is order embedded which demands strict observation. Despite this regularity of the system and process, there is influence outside and beyond it. It is evident that the system of Seedtime and Harvest is not purely a self-sustaining and all-powerful process by itself.
The Lord of the Harvest is above this system and determines its effect.
Notice the following Eight Truths about the Lord of the Harvest
Truth # 1
- He is the Owner of the Harvest
- Our understanding of Seedtime and Harvest must include the knowledge that the Lord of the Harvest influences the process.
- The clearest truth we find in the activities of Seed time and harvest is that the Lord of the Harvest is the Compassionate Savior, Sovereign King, Sending Lord and the Final Judge
Truth # 2:
- He is Eternal Seed for the Harvest
- The Lord of the Harvest, through Jesus became the Seed for world and eternal Harvest
- By the death on the cross and as He sowed His life into the ground (John 12:24) he became the eternal seed.
- Through His resurrection, He began the greatest harvest of Souls in history.
Truth # 3:
- The Lord of the Harvest Understands the Crisis of the Harvest Field
- Harvest begins with divine compassion—not strategy.
- The issue is not the readiness of the field—it’s the scarcity of workers.
- The Church must awaken from passivity. We often pray for revival, but Jesus says: pray for laborers.
Truth # 4:
- He Provides the Seed for the Harvest (2 Cor. 9:6-10)
- The Lord of the Harvests makes a storeroom of Seeds for You.
- The Lord entrusts resources in Your hands so that they are sowed for the Kingdom of God
Truth # 5:
- He determines Times and Seasons (Jer. 5:24; Amos 4:7).
- He superintendents the Seed times and Harvest seasons
- He determines when it is due time for harvesting (Gal. 6)
Truth #6:
- He determines the Increase of the Harvest 1 Cor. 3:6-7
- The role of the Lord of Harvest is to ensure the growth of the Seed.
- Thus, if the Seed is not growing all your investments are useless.
- The Growth of the Seed is forte of the Lord of the Harvest. Only him can guarantee.
Truth #7:
- The Lord of the Harvest Invites Us to Partner with Him
- Although the Lord of the Harvest has all power to bring in the Harvest; and he could easily use angelic beings, he still desires to do it with Us, human beings.
- He does not labor alone—He calls us to pray, go, give, and speak.
- His first goal in Partnering with us for the Harvest is to Pray
- Notice that this is actually a command to pray—not preaching, organizing, or planning.
- Prayer is the first step into the harvest field. Obedience is the next.
- Every believer must become a prayer warrior for laborers—across the street and across the world.
Truth #8:
- He Sends the Workers for the Harvest Math. 9:37
- The Lord of the Harvest provides you with the advantage of Favor where he sends people to support You in your journey
- Automated evangelism cannot replace human harvesters. There is always the role of human beings in the harvest of Souls
- Every believer must become a prayer warrior for laborers—across the street and across the world.
Truth #9:
- God is a Sower and Harvester too
- He sows seeds of People and He multiplies harvesters all over the world
- You are a Seed in God’s hands, May You respond well (2 Cor. 9:10 God supplies seeds)
- Be ready to be sent. Don’t just pray for missionaries—become one where you are.
Truth #10:
- The Lord of the Harvest Is the Final Judge of the Harvest
- He is not only the Redeemer but also the Righteous Judge
- The time for sowing and reaping is now. There will be a day when the opportunity ends and the sorting begins.
How do We Respond to the Lord of the Harvest?
Our Response
- We must regularly discern (recognize) and honor Him
- We must regularly pray and allow Him to lead in all the process of Seed Time and Harvest
- We must consistently request Him to provide us with Seeds
- We must consistently pray that He sends laborers for the Harvest
