Praying for Young Couples & Pastors Reuben and Elizabeth Kachala

Praying for Young Couples - Romans 12:1-2; Ephesians 5:15-21; Colossians 3:16

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:1-2

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ. Ephesians 5:15-21

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God Colossians 3:16

  1. Thank God for the Young Couples Ministry at ICA, currently led by Chifundo and Bernard Phangaphanga. Pray that God will strengthen them with wisdom, love, humility and grace as they serve young couples and help build Christ-centred marriages.
  2. Pray that the ministry will address relevant issues affecting young couples with truth, sensitivity and practical wisdom anchored in the Word of God. Pray that couples will continue to receive sound teaching that strengthens love, faithfulness, communication, forgiveness and godly family life.
  3. Pray that God will protect young couples from false teaching, deception, worldly patterns, ungodly counsel and pressures that weaken marriages. Ask the Lord to help them be transformed by His Word and guided by the Holy Spirit in their homes, choices and relationships.
  4. Pray for spiritual growth, stronger marriages and deeper Christian fellowship among young couples. Ask God to make their marriages examples of Christ’s love, unity and faithfulness, and to use them as a godly influence in the church, their families and the wider community.

Praying for Pastors Reuben and Elizabeth Kachala - Colossians 1:9-10; Matthew 9:37–38; Isaiah 40:31

And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. Colossians 1:9-10

The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the labourers are few. Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out labourers into his harvest. Matthew 9:37–38

but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
